Abstract
Today, organic (paper) roofing felt has but a small fraction of the low slope roofing market whereas, twenty years ago, it was the primary material used in so called "tar and gravel" roofs on flat and nearly flat commercial roofing. As of now, fiberglass is here to stay and will continue to supersede the organic systems in both pitch and asphalt built up roofing membranes.
