Abstract
In a concerted effort to learn more about the weathering characteristics of TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) single-ply roof membranes, WSRCA began an in situ testing program during the year 2000. The program consisted of what may be referred to as weathering farms utilizing four test roofs, each incorporating the same four different TPO roofing membranes in order to study the effects of real-world weathering on TPO membranes in different Western United States climate regions. The membranes were installed in 2001/2002 and have been periodically inspected and tested.
