Abstract
The National Tile Roofing Mfrs Assn estimates that approximately 10 million squares of roof tile are sold in the US today. Of that, at least two thirds is concrete. Concrete roof tile is the most widely used in the world today - mostly because of its availability and cost. On the other hand, clay tile is the oldest roof tile in the world and it is known for its endurance and is often used to achieve from a contemporary to an antique look. Both are good roofing products selling to different markets.
