Abstract
The importance of adequate roof slope has long been recognized by the roofing industry. Yet it is still common to see low-slope roof systems with little or no slope, and it is stillc ommon to see steep-slope systems with shallow slope. This article will explore issues related to both low-slope and steep-slope roofing. This subject is important, since designing for adequate drainage is one of the most significant influences a designer (or contractor performing design work) can have on roof performance.
