Abstract
Tile industry commissioned a study to determine the ability of roof tiles to withstand severe winds. tests were conducted in a driving raind wind tunnel on full scale tile products in real life conditions. Test findings were drawn up in the Redland Report. Not only does the report document the ability of tile roorfs to withstand winds up to 125 mph, based on the use of certain fasteners, but it also introduces the air permeable theory.
