A barn roof collapsed April 13 in Mequon, Wis., injuring seven roofing workers from Vidmar Roofing, New Berlin, Wis., according to WISN. The company is not an NRCA member.
Roofing workers were tearing shingles off the barn, which was built in 1890, when it collapsed. The homeowner ran outside after hearing a crash and saw one of the injured men.
Seven people were sent to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious. Three of those workers had been trapped under debris and needed to be removed from the building.
After rescue crews cleared the area, federal investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration began an inspection. The agency has six months to complete its review.
