What has been the most memorable moment of your roofing career? Three NRCA members share their answers.
My most memorable moment would be either mopping a built-up tar and gravel roof (to try out the mops—not literally installing the entire roof) or being asked to be on NRCA’s Executive Committee.

Completing a roof for a veteran in need was a memorable moment. We started out just going to make repairs and found the entire roof needed to be replaced. We worked with our manufacturers and got materials donated or at cost, then our entire team got involved to tear off and replace the roof. The look on the faces of the family members and their appreciation is something I will remember for many years.

The most memorable moment in my roofing career was designing and implementing the NRCA PROCertification® test prep classes and many roof system installers in our area successfully completing NRCA PROCertification designations. It is so rewarding to see these incredible craftspeople earn the designation and be acknowledged for their skills!
