The Roofing Alliance has announced the recipients of its Melvin Kruger Scholarship for the 2026-27 academic year.
This year’s new scholarship recipients are:
- Garrett Beckstead, studying construction management at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge
- Nasheed Benjamin, studying construction science management at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Ala.
- Jaleni Diaz De Leon, studying construction science management at Colorado State University, Fort Collins
- Carter Dominique, studying construction management at Ohio State University, Columbus
- Tanner Gawith, studying construction science management at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Ala.
- Sascha Oliveira, studying sports management at Penn State York, York, Pa.
- Rylee Raukits, studying construction management at University of Florida, Gainesville
- Yahir Reyes-Morga, studying architectural technology—3D scanning & building information modeling at Forsyth Technical Community College, Winston-Salem, N.C.
- Alessandro Rignanese, studying construction management at Florida International University, Miami
- Ashwin Varadhan, studying architecture at Auburn University, Auburn, Ala.
- Norman Warcholik, studying business management at Arizona State University, Tempe
- Austin Ziringer, studying civil engineering at Columbus State Community College, Columbus, Ohio
- Kyle Ziringer, studying construction systems management and business administration at Ohio State University, Columbus
The Roofing Alliance Melvin Kruger Scholarship Program offers three scholarship opportunities. All categories are open to employees of roofing industry companies, their spouses and their dependent children, as well as construction management students enrolled in undergraduate level or students enrolled in CTE programs or schools (regardless of industry affiliation). The Roofing Alliance awarded $55,000 for scholarship renewals and $59,000 for new scholarships. To date, 186 students have received $1.3665 million in scholarship awards.
