On Nov. 13, the Small Business Administration was granted a temporary stay until Dec. 7 preventing the Nov. 19 release of all names and loan amounts of Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program borrowers.
The media organizations and advocacy group that sued the SBA for this information have until Nov. 27 to provide a response to the SBA’s request for a full reversal citing privacy concerns. Previously, the SBA provided the names and addresses for PPP loans that exceed $150,000 along with loan values in five ranges up to $10 million. The agency also released amounts of PPP loans under $150,000 but did not provide borrower names.
