Roofing Alliance is seeking funding requests

The Roofing Alliance is committed to promoting and supporting the advancement of the roofing industry and funds critical research, educational, technical and philanthropic projects to serve that purpose.

The Roofing Alliance recently announced its annual call for funding requests; this year’s submittal deadline for funding applications is Jan. 1, 2022.

Roofing Alliance Executive Director Bennett Judson says to date more than $5.8 million in funding has been approved for 51 projects, programs and studies.

“While the Roofing Alliance has a number of ongoing initiatives that we fund, we are always looking to support new programs that can fulfill a need within our industry and contribute toward the betterment of the U.S. roofing industry,” Judson said.

The Roofing Alliance seeks projects that enhance the performance of the U.S. roofing industry. Several recent projects that have been funded include Clemson University, which is using the funds to develop three-credit roofing-specific courses that will lead to a formal Roofing Certificate, and Florida Gulf Coast University, which is conducting a formal study surrounding employee safety—Heat Stress Conditions and Awareness for Roofing Workers. Ongoing initiatives include the Roofing Alliance’s partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities,® the Roofing Alliance Student Competition and construction management partnerships with universities.

Requests are due by Jan. 1, 2022. View information about specific criteria and the funding review process.
