Roofing Alliance announces upcoming faculty retreat

The Roofing Alliance and Arizona State University’s Del E. Webb School of Construction have announced they will host the inaugural Roofing Alliance Faculty Retreat for full-time faculty members interested in learning more about and expanding the role of roofing in their construction management programs. The retreat will be held March 6-9 at ASU, Tempe, Ariz.

“The Roofing Alliance Faculty Retreat is designed to educate faculty members about roofing-specific initiatives, including the different types of roof systems available, best safety practices, key elements of roof design, technical and building code issues, sustainable roof system options, career opportunities and more,” said Roofing Alliance Executive Director Alison LaValley.

The faculty retreat also will include ASU faculty-led workshops, as well as a key workshop featuring the new nine-credit-hour roofing certificate program developed at Clemson University.

The retreat has been structured to allow for various social and networking opportunities with roofing industry partners to make connections, access resources, and share knowledge and information.
