NRCA will offer Foremen Leadership Training, Level 1, Dec. 4 and Foremen Leadership Training, Level 2, Dec. 6 in Rosemont, Ill.
Foremen Leadership Training, Level 1, focuses on communication, leadership and management skills and teaches foremen the tools to help them become effective crew leaders. Participants will learn how to identify when to manage and when to lead; improve their communication skills; identify positive and negative approaches to communication; articulate specific ways to increase crew productivity; and implement conflict resolution with employees in discipline situations, among other things. Foremen Leadership Training, Level 2, reviews discussions about communication and management techniques learned in Level 1 with increased attention to disciplinary conversations and intervention. Level 2 further focuses on implementing effective conflict-resolution tactics for employees, supervisors and customers and understanding their needs and includes exercises and conversations to develop leadership skills.
