On Sept. 10, the Department of Homeland Security announced the extension of Temporary Protected Status for qualifying individuals from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan.
Individuals with TPS from these countries will have their status extended from Oct. 4, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2022. Given the many individuals currently working within the roofing industry under TPS, NRCA commends the Biden administration for taking this action.
NRCA urges lawmakers to continue working to develop bipartisan legislative solutions that can be enacted into law.
