NRCA member is recognized by Newsweek for diversity

Holcim Building Envelope, Nashville, Tenn., recently was recognized by Newsweek as a recipient of awards focused on committing to a diverse workforce.

Holcim Building Envelope received the inaugural America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2023 award, which recognizes the best workplaces in the U.S. that are dedicated to respecting and valuing a diverse workforce. The rankings are based on publicly available data, interviews with human resources professionals, and an anonymous online survey of a diverse pool of employees at U.S. companies with 1,000 or more employees. Criteria for employee surveys were based on corporate culture and working environment, among other topics.

Holcim Building Envelope earned the maximum equality score of five stars on the list of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, one of only 13 U.S. companies categorized as “Industrial Products/Industrial Machinery” to receive the top score. The rankings stem from a survey of more than 37,000 female employees regarding criteria such as compensation and benefits, work-life balance and proactive management of a diverse workforce. Holcim’s 2025 target is for least 25% of senior management to be women—an increase from the current 14%.

“At Holcim, we are built by our people and enriched by the talent and diversity of a highly skilled workforce,” said Jamie Gentoso, president of Holcim Building Envelope. “We draw our strength from hiring people from various backgrounds and experiences that help cultivate a culture of inclusion. Holcim is committed to creating opportunities for all individuals.”
