NRCA understands chronic workforce shortages are hurting its members’ ability to sustain and grow their businesses.
To address this issue, NRCA is encouraging its members to urge their members of Congress to support Jumpstart Our Businesses by Supporting Students Act (S. 839/H.R. 3497). This legislation would extend eligibility for Pell Grants—which are awarded to low-income students who pursue four-year college degrees—to students engaged in short-term workforce training programs. This would provide more students with access to the types of training programs now being developed within the roofing industry.
