Buildings are a critical part of the U.S.’ infrastructure, which includes elements vital to communities, such as schools, airports and hospitals. It is crucial Congress work on a bipartisan basis to approve legislation that provides improvements to the country’s aging and overburdened infrastructure in a fiscally responsible manner.
Given the importance of buildings to the U.S.’ critical infrastructure and the increasing threat of natural disasters, legislation should include investments in higher levels of resiliency for commercial and residential buildings, which protect us from the elements.
NRCA urges all members to reach out to their members of Congress to advocate for a strong buildings component in infrastructure legislation.
