NRCA's is holding National Roofing Week June 2-8 to increase recognition of the significance of roofs to every home and business in the U.S.; promote the good deeds of the roofing industry; and emphasize the value of professional roofing contractors.
A roof is one of the most important components of a home’s or business’ structure, yet it often is taken for granted until it falls into disrepair. During National Roofing Week, NRCA encourages its members to participate by engaging in their communities and informing the public about the essential roles roofs and professional roofing contractors play in every community.

In addition, NRCA hosted the We are Family Raffle, sponsored by A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply. Open to all NRCA member companies, the raffle involved companies taking a group photo of all employees—their roofing family—and submitting it to NRCA for a chance to win a prize. Winners will be announced this week.
NRCA also is hosting a social media campaign to highlight our members and their contributions to the roofing industry. Members are encouraged to share photos and videos that focus on a different theme each day during National Roofing Week, tag NRCA and use the hashtag #nationalroofingweek.
Additionally, in the spirit of the industry's generosity, the first NRCA Giving Day will be June 7 to raise funds to benefit the Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program and help shape the future of the roofing industry. NRCA's goal is to raise $100,000 in gifts to provide additional scholarships to college and vocational-technical school students who plan to pursue careers in the roofing or building construction industries. Finally, to celebrate National Roofing Week, NRCA staff will team up with CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award winner Showalter Roofing Service, Naperville, Ill., to volunteer June 8 at the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. The organization is a nonprofit agency that provides housing, supportive services and community outreach to help homeless and at-risk veterans and their families achieve self-sufficiency.
