NRCA CEO Reid Ribble issued the following statement regarding the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act approved by the Senate:
“NRCA commends the Senate for approving bipartisan legislation to provide badly needed investments in our aging and over-burdened infrastructure. We were pleased to work with our roofing industry allies to ensure the bill advances resiliency, energy efficiency and sustainability with new investments in airports, schools and other buildings vital to strong communities. Roofs have a prominent role to play in protecting families and property as the first line of defense against the elements.
“By providing for critical investments in buildings and other physical infrastructure in a fiscally responsible manner, we believe the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will have a positive impact on the roofing industry and broader U.S. economy. NRCA also is pleased to see lawmakers work together to develop solutions in a bipartisan manner. We urge the House to take up this bipartisan legislation for a vote as soon as possible.”
