The checklist includes filing an accurate return and using e-file and direct deposit to avoid delays; collecting all documents before preparing a tax return and ensuring stimulus payment and advance Child Tax Credit information is accurate; and avoiding lengthy phone delays by using online resources before calling the IRS, among other tips.
