The Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association Inc. has moved FRSA’s 98th Annual Convention and the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo online after cancelling it amid the COVID-19 crisis. The event originally was scheduled to take place July 15-17 in Kissimmee, Fla.
The association has partnered with AAA Construction School, Jacksonville, Fla., and will host 17 online seminars taught by industry professionals. To register for the seminars, visit www.floridaroof.com.
Additionally, the event’s Silent Auction, hosted by FRSA’s Educational and Research Foundation, was moved to an online format and will run from July 10-17. To register and bid on items, text FRSA to 243725 or visit www.floridaroof.com.
FRSA’s new Expo Guide will help roofing contractors connect with exhibitors, sponsors and associate members. The guide highlights many components of the show, including the 2020 S.T.A.R. Award winners, recipients of important industry awards, seminar descriptions, and a complete list of the exhibitors that donated or rolled over their 2020 booth fees. The guide is being mailed and also will be available in a digital format on FRSA’s website and social media platforms.
Additionally, FRSA has included two opportunities to win money using the Expo Guide. The FRSA 25 Square Challenge has moved online this year, and participants can visit the websites of participating companies to answer trivia questions for a chance to win $1,000. FRSA members also are eligible for the $1,000 Grand Prize by finding the answers to 10 trivia questions hidden throughout the Expo Guide.
