Deadline nears for employers to submit injury and illness data

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration reminds employers it is collecting calendar year 2022 Form 300A data, according to www.osha.gov. Employers must submit the form electronically by March 2.

Electronic submissions are required for establishments with 250 or more employees that currently must keep OSHA injury and illness records, as well as establishments with 20-249 employees classified in specific industries with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illnesses.

The Department of Labor has transitioned the Injury Tracking Application login procedure to Login.gov—a secure sign-in service used by many government agencies. Current and new account holders need to create a Login.gov account to submit their 2022 injury and illness data. Detailed guidance regarding how to carry out this change is available as a job aid and video
