CPWR—The Center for Construction Research and Training will hold two webinars—What’s the Risk? Best Practices to Reduce the Likelihood of Struck-by Injuries from Heavy Equipment and Crane Activities April 13 at 2 p.m. EDT and Preventing Struck-by Incidents from Dropped Tools & Other Objects April 14 at 2 p.m. EDT.
During the April 13 webinar, panelists will concentrate on struck-by incidents involving heavy equipment and crane activities, including a presentation about fatalities related to quick coupler detachments on excavator buckets; a review of best practices for tower crane assembly, use and disassembly; and a discussion about lift planning.
The April 14 webinar will focus on the dangers associated with dropped tools and other objects, as well as strategies to prevent or arrest falling objects and avoid these types of struck-by incidents.
