One of the main challenges construction workers face during the winter is cold weather, which can lead to dangerous health risks if not approached with appropriate caution.
The Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR) warns of the risks, which can include hypothermia, frostbite and trench foot, and offers lists of symptoms of which construction workers should be aware. CPWR also offers tips to help protect workers from the cold weather, including how to dress appropriately, drinking the right liquids and being proactive and alert on the job site.
