Spearheaded by the National Center for Construction Education and Research’s Build Your Future initiative, Careers in Construction Month is held in October to raise awareness about career opportunities in construction and inspire the next generation of craft professionals, according to byf.org.
There are many opportunities available to get involved, including requesting your state officially proclaim October as Careers in Construction Month; reaching out to your local community; working with your local schools and community colleges to speak to students; highlighting skilled workers in the construction industry; and hosting an event promoting awareness of construction careers.
