Buildgirls is seeking female professionals in the fields of architecture, construction or engineering to participate in its interview program. The program allows Buildgirls members—female middle school or high school students—to gain information about specific fields and careers and shows them what those jobs are like, especially for women.
Buildgirls was founded in 2022 to fight gender and economic inequality by educating and empowering young women in high school to explore careers in architecture, construction and engineering. The organization works to tackle the attitudes surrounding women in such fields and the limited exposure available for women—especially in high school—by facilitating discovery experiences, informative discussions, guest speakers, events and competitions.
