NRCA is offering an exclusive session designed for its architect, engineer and consultant members.

During this technical update followed by a live Q&A, Mark Graham, NRCA’s vice president of technical operations, will address:

  • Updates regarding code issues affecting roofing projects
  • Using ASCE 7’s wind design geodatabase effectively
  • Recent problems reported to NRCA’s technical services department

Participants will gain valuable, timely insights regarding the most pressing technical challenges in roof system design and specification.

This session is registered with the American Institute of Architects and the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants and is worth 1 CEU toward your continuing education requirements.

Mark Graham
NRCA’s vice president of technical operations

Mark Graham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. In 1984, he began his career in the roofing industry when he joined F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing Co. Inc. Milwaukee, as an estimator and project manager. In 1986, he joined Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates Inc., Northbrook, Ill., as a project engineer specializing in the investigation, design and repair of roof and waterproofing systems.

Graham joined NRCA in 1993 and is responsible for the association's technical services department. He also is the staff liaison for NRCA's Technical Operations Committee and Manual Update Committee and a contributing editor for Professional Roofing magazine.

Graham is a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials and is active in ASTM Committees D-8—Roofing and Waterproofing, C-16—Thermal Insulation, E-5—Fire Standards and E-6—Performance of Buildings. He also is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc., International Code Council and National Fire Protection Association.
