Richard Trewyn joined NRCA in 2015. Before joining NRCA, he was the national safety director for TECTA and started his career at FJA Christiansen Roofing Companies in Milwaukee in 1996. With a degree in occupational safety and health from the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater and numerous certificates and certifications within the safety field, he brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to NRCA. He is an Occupational Safety and Health Administration-authorized trainer for the construction 10- and 30-hour classes and an authorized CERTA trainer of torch-applied system classes. He also teaches NRCA’s fall-protection and CERTA Train-the-trainer classes.

Lingerfelt was in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and has more than 40 years of safety expertise in the construction and industrial industries. He has made significant contributions through innovations, publications, research and training that directly affect job-site safety. Lingerfelt uses his years of experience to help companies make decisions regarding their safety policies and procedures. His training reaches workers of all experience levels, and he instills in the minds of all he teaches to think twice before making a bad decision.
