Training for Roof Application Careers

NRCA's award-winning Training for Roof Application Careers is a blend of online and hands-on training your company can use to provide new and inexperienced field workers with information and skills to help them become quality roof system installers who thrive in their careers.

There currently are two packages available for purchase: Thermoplastic Roof Membrane Installation and Asphalt Shingle Installation.

TRAC ultimately will include each roof system and roofing foreman training. Coming in 2020: TRAC packages for foremen and EPDM!

TRAC, which includes English and Spanish content, is designed to provide new and inexperienced employees with "conversational competence." This means they understand:

  • Terminology that helps them engage with foremen and crew members in helpful, rather than burdensome, ways
  • Concepts familiar to the roofing trade
  • Duties and responsibilities they can expect to engage in as crew members
  • Hands-on skills they will develop in their journey to becoming competent
  • Your company will train them rather than using a "sink or swim" method of onboarding
