Abstract
The APP Weathering Farm is a long-term research projec that compares the weathering performances of 7 APP-modified bitumen membranes and three types of reflective roof coatings. In addition, the roof was designed to obtaind ata about the thermal performances offered by commonly applied reflective coatings. This article provides brief project background and reports on field observations of the coatings and membranes; laboratory characterization of control samples; change in reflectivities and thermal performances; and recoating a portion of the roof system. This article was adapted from the paper, "Field Perofmances of APP Modified Bitumen Roof Coatings - the First Six Years". The entire paper can be found in the Proceedings of the Xth Congress of the International Waterproofing Association (IWA).
