Roofing Day in D.C. is the premier roofing industry advocacy event, bringing together hundreds of roofing professionals from all segments of the industry to speak with “one voice” on critical issues before lawmakers in Congress. Roofing Day in D.C. was held in 2018 and 2019 but unfortunately the 2020 event had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The roofing industry will be back stronger than ever for Roofing Day in D.C. 2021 to be held March 23-24, 2021. You don’t want to miss the most important industry advocacy event of the year!
Roofing Day in D.C. 2018, held March 6-7, was the first annual industrywide advocacy event designed to fulfill NRCA CEO Reid Ribble’s vision for raising the roofing industry profile and expanding our influence in Washington, D.C. The inaugural event was a resounding success with more than 400 participants from all industry segments in states as far as Hawaii and Alaska. This event made a lasting impression on members of Congress, and soon after participants in Roofing Day in D.C. 2018 advocated for a bill to improve career and technical education to help meet future industry workforce needs, Congress approved the legislation and President Trump signed it into law.
Roofing Day in D.C. 2021 will build on the successes of previous years to further strengthen the industry message and increase our influence on policymaking. To make an even greater impact in 2021, we need strong participation from a broad cross-section of the industry, including employers, field employees and others from all sectors of the industry. Congress needs to hear from you about issues of importance to the roofing industry!
