Roofing Day Issues

On April 4, 2019, Roofing Day participants met with members of Congress to discuss issues important to the roofing industry, speaking with one voice as a united industry. The issues selected for Roofing Day were approved by NRCA's Government Relations Committee, the Roofing Day Advisory Task Force and all Roofing Day affiliates. The issues were selected because they unite all segments of the roofing industry and are timely to focus on within the context of the political environment in Washington, D.C.

During Roofing Day in D.C. 2019, participants advocated in support of the following issues:

Most registrants had three meetings on Capitol Hill—one each with the Senators from his or her state and his or her Representative in the House (or their staff) based on the location of the participant's business (some participants had four or more meetings based on unique circumstances).

If you have questions regarding Roofing Day in D.C. or these advocacy issues, please contact the NRCA Washington, D.C. office at (800) 338-5765.
